MANILA — The Department of Justice (DOJ) has issued an Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO) against former Ateneo Blue Eagles head coach Tab Baldwin, basketball coach Epok Quimpo, and three other individuals amid the ongoing investigation into the deaths of two Ateneo student-athletes in Aurora.
Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida confirmed the issuance of the order in a press briefing on Wednesday.
Authorities said the ILBO was issued as part of standard monitoring procedures while the investigation remains underway.
Vida stressed that the order does not restrict the individuals from traveling abroad, but serves to alert immigration authorities if they attempt to leave the country.
“An ILBO is a monitoring mechanism. It is intended to alert authorities should the subjects attempt to travel abroad while the investigation is ongoing,” Vida said.
