MANILA – Easterlies will continue to influence weather conditions across the country on Saturday, bringing cloudy skies and rain showers, the state weather bureau PAGASA reported.

In its 4 a.m. advisory, PAGASA said areas including Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Southern Leyte, Bohol, Lanao del Sur, Cotabato, and Davao Oriental will experience cloudy conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and other regions will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms also expected.

The agency warned that heavy rainfall and severe thunderstorms could result in flash floods or landslides in at-risk communities.

Light to moderate winds from the northeast to north will prevail over Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao, with slight to moderate seas. In the rest of Luzon, winds will blow from the east to northeast under similar sea conditions.

Sunset is expected at 6:07 p.m.
