MANILA — Motorists can expect a significant drop in fuel prices on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, with diesel set to register one of the biggest rollbacks in recent months.

In an announcement, Shell Pilipinas Corp. said diesel prices will be reduced by P24.94 per liter. Gasoline will also go down by P3.41 per liter, while kerosene will see a P2.00 per liter decrease.

The new rates will take effect at 6 a.m.

Earlier projections from the Department of Energy pointed to another round of fuel price cuts this week.

The sharp decline has been linked to easing tensions in the Middle East, which has led to a reduction in the so-called war premium embedded in global oil prices as a ceasefire continues to hold.

Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has also urged oil companies to roll out the full price reductions without delay, emphasizing the importance of passing on the savings to consumers as soon as possible.
