MANILA — Department of Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida is scheduled to hold discussions today, Monday (27 April 2026) with officials from the Czech Republic to verify the current status of Zaldy Co.

According to Vida, the meeting will focus on confirming key information and addressing uncertainties surrounding Co’s situation.

He emphasized that he is determined to come back with concrete developments. “We will not come back empty-handed,” he said, citing their growing understanding of Czech legal procedures.

Previously, Vida noted that Co might have already left the Czech Republic.

The development follows an earlier statement by Ferdinand Marcos Jr. claiming Co had been arrested. However, DOJ spokesperson Polo Martinez later clarified that Co was not officially arrested, explaining instead that his movements had been restricted.
