MANILA — The state weather bureau on Sunday warned of possible flash floods and landslides in several parts of the country as easterlies continue to bring rains and thunderstorms.
PAGASA said regions likely to be affected by cloudy skies with scattered rainfall include the Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and parts of Luzon such as Sorsogon, Masbate, and Palawan. Areas in Mindanao, including Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Basilan, are also under the same weather pattern.
Residents in these areas are advised to take precautions as moderate to heavy rains could trigger hazards.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience generally fair weather with isolated rain showers, though severe thunderstorms may still pose risks of localized flooding.
Wind conditions across the country will remain light to moderate, with coastal waters staying slight to moderate.
In Metro Manila, the sun rose at 5:33 a.m. and is expected to set at 6:13 p.m., while temperature readings in Quezon City ranged from 25.0°C to 35.3°C in the past 24 hours.
