MANILA – Rainy conditions are expected to prevail across much of the country as multiple weather systems influence local weather, PAGASA said in its Thursday forecast.
The weather bureau said a shear line affecting Southern Luzon will bring scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over parts of the Bicol Region, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan. Residents in these areas were advised to remain alert for possible flooding or landslides due to moderate to heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will bring light rains to the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Metro Manila, and the rest of Luzon.
PAGASA said isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will also occur in other parts of the country as the easterlies continue to affect local weather.
Strong winds will persist over Luzon, resulting in moderate to rough coastal waters. Elsewhere, winds and sea conditions will remain generally moderate.
As of early Thursday morning, PAGASA confirmed that there is no monitored low pressure area with potential to develop into a tropical cyclone.
