MANILA – The Bureau of Immigration has renewed its reminder to registered foreign nationals in the Philippines regarding the compulsory filing of the 2026 Annual Report under the Alien Registration Act.
The BI said the requirement plays a crucial role in monitoring the status and movement of foreign nationals residing in the country.
Under the law, all registered aliens must report to the BI within the first two months of the calendar year, specifically from January 1 until March 1.
Applicants are required to accomplish online registration through the BI e-services system and present their Alien Certificate of Registration, a valid passport, and proof of payment for the previous year’s Annual Report fee.
For in-person reporting, the BI Main Office will hold the activity at Robinsons Place Manila, Center Atrium, 3rd Level, from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding holidays.
The bureau noted that foreign nationals who are eligible and physically present in the Philippines may instead file their Annual Report virtually. The online system is available at all times, including weekends and holidays, with payment options through Maya, GCash, credit cards, or Landbank.
The BI further reminded foreign nationals planning to leave the country that Annual Report compliance is required prior to the release of an Emigration Clearance Certificate.
Non-compliance may subject violators to administrative sanctions or prosecution, the bureau warned.
